Job Description
Position Objective
The Poultry Farm operations manager will supervise the day-to-day activities of the poultry unit, making sure most effective productivity, animal health, feed management, biosecurity, and legal adherence. The position requires robust domain expertise of poultry management, people executive guidance, and business strategic insight to assurance profit margin and long-term viability of the farm.
Primary duties
- Strategize organize, and oversee daily poultry processes which includes feeding, breeding, health supervising, and egg/meat generation.
- Oversee poultry attendants and workers, offering development, direction, and making sure adherence with industry standards.
- Execute efficient biosecurity and hygiene procedures to prevent disease outbreaks.
- Track flock health, coordinate with veterinary experts, and manage vaccinations or medications as needed.
- Oversee feed formulation, procurement, and usage to guarantee cost-efficient nutrition programs.
- Preserve precise generation, mortality, sales, and expenditure records.
- Projection, strategize and accomplish generation targets for both eggs and broiling unit/layer management.
- Ensure proper waste management and ecological regulate inside the farm.
- Supervise farm tools and structure, making sure prompt repairs and servicing & maintenance.
- Assist business promotion & sales plans for poultry goods to optimized revenue.
- Stay informed on market trends, new technical solutions, and compliance obligations affecting poultry farming.
- Ensure adherence to adherence with health, safety, and welfare guidelines for both workers and livestock
Credentials & Expertise
- Bsc or Certification in Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, Agriculture, or relevant field.
- At least 5 years’ demonstrated expertise in poultry farm management.
- Deep understanding of poultry generation operational structures (layers, broilers, hatchery).
- Robust document-keeping and critical thinking.
- Expertise coordinating farm laborers and processes.
- Understanding with animal health management, nutrition, and biosecurity procedures.
