Job Description
Position Overview
The Manager, project is responsible for the on-time completion of a multi-disciplinary EPCM lump sum project in the Petroleum sector sector. Based in Port Harcourt, the position covers the full scope of program duration from FEED/engineering through procurement, on-site implementation, pre-initiating, initiating, and first gas/begin-up. The incumbent will offer direction across all trades (Civil, Mechanical, E&I, Earthworks, and Communications), guarantee alignment to binding obligations, oversee modifications/scope changes, and bargain productively with the customer (CPY).
Procurement & Stock Chain:
- Oversee procurement plan and speeding up of long-head items.
- Ensure vendor adherence with requirements, Quality assurance/Quality control guidelines, and Nigerian Content qualifications (NCDMB).
- Organize logistics, shipping, and dispatch to on-site.
Stakeholder engagement:
- Serve as the single point of responsibility with the Customer (CPY) and project sponsors.
- Build and preserve solid connections with compliance-related bodies, JV associates, organizer networks, and subcontractors.
- Offer clear status updates and information exchange to top level management and participants.
Team lead:
- Head a multidisciplinary project team across engineering, building, Health, safety, and environment, Quality assurance/Quality control, expense management, and initiating.
- Train and formulate local Nigerian employees in line with local content targets.
- Build teamwork, responsibility, and ongoing development.
Credentials & Expertise
- Bsc in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Petroleum, Electrical, or associated).
- 10–15 years’ project coordination expertise in Petroleum sector EPCM/EPC projects, with a minimum of 5 in a executive function.
- Established history in coordinating lump sum agreements from engineering to first gas.
- Solid understanding of agreement administration, requests, scope changes, and customer talks.
- Qualifications: PMP®, PRINCE2®, or equivalent (compulsory).
- Expertise with Primavera P6, MS Project, and project regulates resources.
- Expertise in Nigerian rules (NCDMB, NUPRC/DPR, NIPEX) and local content adherence.
