Position Overview
The Intermediate Accounting officer is in charge of coordinating daily financial processes, getting ready precise financial statements, and assisting financial planning and auditing methods. The position requires a firm knowledge of accounting principles, meticulousness, and the capability to operate independently while supporting to the entire financial health of the company.
Primary duties
- Organize, evaluate, and preserve balance sheet and income statement, ledgers, and accounts.
- Oversee outstanding bills and receivable, making sure prompt and precise processing.
- Resolve financial statements and general ledger accounts.
- Help in the project setup of financial plans, projections, and financial evaluation.
- Assist within and outside the organization audit methods.
- Guarantee adherence with accounting guidelines, organisation rules, and compliance obligations.
- Process wage processing and associated statutory conclusions (where relevant).
- Track money movement and assist treasury management.
- Offer financial findings and strategic guidance for executive review for strategic judgment.
- Oversee entry-level accounting employees and assist their career advancement.
Credentials and Competencies
- Bsc in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.
- A member of a professional body or advancement toward accreditation (e.g., CPA, ACCA, ICAN) is desirable.
- 3–5 years of accounting expertise in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, guidelines, and finance reporting.
- Competence in financial system (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, SAP, or Oracle) and Excel spreadsheet software.
- Robust logical and analytical abilities.
- Outstanding corporate and schedule control abilities.
- High level of honesty and reliability, precision, and meticulousness.
