Position Overview

The Accounting officer will be in charge of coordinating the dining venue’s routine financial financial record, making sure precise document-keeping, prompt adjustments, and adherence with internal regulates. The position aids the Finance Manager in preserving transparent and current financial information to mentor business and strategic decisions.

Duties

• Process and document routine financial financial record which includes sales, payments, and receipts.
• Verify that every financial financial record are precisely recorded and filed.
• Oversee outstanding bills and receivable, making sure prompt payments and collections.
• Resolve supplier statements and settle discrepancies promptly.
• Execute consistent bank adjustments to guarantee precision and uniformity of finance records.
• Track bank balances and documentation any discrepancies to the Finance Manager.
• Help in processing wage processing and verify that every employees are paid precisely and on time.
• Preserve wage processing records and manage associated questions.
• Organize every month, every quarter, and yearly financial statements as necessary.
• Help in the project setup of financial plans and financial projections.
• Track and oversee stock records in partnership with the procurement department.
• Carry out consistent stock audits to guarantee precision.
• Guarantee adherence with financial compliance guidelines.
• Help with within and outside the organization audits, offering necessary recordkeeping and assist.
• Preserve and modify the general ledger, making sure all entries are precise and current.
• Help in end of month and end of year closing methods.
• Address financial questions from employees and external participants in a prompt and specialist manner.
• Offer monetary aid and direction to other departments as needed.
• Settlement of routine cash sales.

Qualifications

• At least First Academic qualification in Accounting, Finance, Economics or any relevant field.
• Applicable specialist qualifications e.g. Chartered Finance analyst (CFA), Institute of Chartered Accounting officer of Nigeria (ICAN), Affiliation of Accredited and Chartered Accounting officer (ACCA) or its equivalent is compulsory
• 2-3 years accounting expertise (hospitality or in-store industry preferred)
• Competence in financial system (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and MS Excel.
• Robust quantitative and critical thinking with meticulousness.Effective communication and people skills.
• High level of honesty and reliability and secrecy.
