Job Description
Scope of work
The Skills development Officer will assist the execution of 3iS’s Disaster Preparedness Information Management (IM) Skills development Plan. The position concentrates on participant relation, development synchronization and facilitation, needs evaluations, and institutional strengthening to improve IM capabilities among national and state-level humanitarian actors in Nigeria.
Institutional Strengthening:
Assist in development of courses, uploading and updating on Moodle, aggregation and evaluation of students’ effectiveness. Assist establish response operational structures and post-development reviews to measure effect.
M&E, & Status updates:
- Formulate and preserve a Skills development (CB) DB, dashboard, and Indicator Tracking Table (ITT) for instantaneous advancement supervising.
- Record lessons learned, industry standards, and development documentation for participants and donors.
- Design and circulate end-of-activity surveys and assemble outcomes.
General Obligations:
Offer any other duty allocated by the Skills development Manager.
Qualifications
- MSC in information management, Computer Science, Humanitarian Affairs, Development Studies, Community-related Sciences, or relevant field.
- 3+ years of expertise in Information Management skills development, development synchronization, or humanitarian project assist.
- Understanding with Information Management (IM) operational structures, data collection and evaluation resources, QGIS and disaster preparedness frameworks.
Competencies:
- Robust organisational and logistical synchronization competencies.
- Competence in data collection, evaluation (Excel, KOBO, etc.), and visualisation resources (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Google Looker Studio, QGIS) is essential.
- Clear articulation (verbal and documented) and people skills for participant relation.
- Capability to operate independently and jointly in a diverse team.
