Position Overview

We are seeking an smart, hardworking, description and result-oriented Financial officer who possesses demonstrated expertise in a finance or accounting position, ideally inside the financial technology or financial solutions industry with deep knowledge of financial rules, accounting principles, and finance Management procedures to join our agile team. The Financial officer will play a main responsibility in coordinating our financial processes, making sure adherence with financial rules, and offering critical financial findings to assist our growth and creative invention in the financial technology industry.

Primary duties

• Organize and preserve precise balance sheet and income statement, which includes earnings statements, balance sheets, and money movement statements.
• Carry out consistent financial evaluation to recognize practices, discrepancies/variances, and avenues for advancement in financial technology sector.
• Help in the project setup of every month, every quarter, and yearly financial statements for management and participants.
• Work alongside department heads to formulate and track financial plans.
• Organize financial projections and offer financial difference assessment against financial plans.
• Help in long-term budgeting and planning process.
• Supervise outstanding bills and receivable methods, making sure prompt payments and collections.
• Resolve financial statements and verify that every finance records are precise and current.
• Guarantee adherence with financial compliance guidelines, which includes GAAP and IFRS.
• Help with within and outside the organization audits, offering necessary recordkeeping and descriptions.
• Execute and track internal regulates to ensure protection of organisation assets.
• Preserve and improve the organization’s financial operational structures and resources to enhance effectiveness and precision.
• Work alongside IT and other departments to combine financial operational structures with business operational structures.
• Offer financial findings and strategic guidance to assist business decisions and strategic organizing.
• Observe industry trends and compliance-related modifications that could effect the organization’s financial effectiveness.
• Execute periodic financial evaluation to identify and settle challenges.
• Evaluate and execute financial rules
• Organize balance sheets and bills.
• Carry out operational check-in of General Ledgers
• Project setup of Every month CBN Returns
• Help in the Project setup of Management Account
• Project setup of the On a weekly basis Results summary
• Help in the Project setup of Asset and Liability Documentation
• Calculation of Efficient Interest rate on Financial funding securities

Credentials

• Bsc in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a relevant field. A MSC or a member of a professional body (e.g., ICAN, ACCA, CIBN) will be an added advantage.
• At least five years cognate expertise
• Demonstrated expertise in a finance or accounting position, ideally inside the financial technology or financial solutions industry.
• Deep knowledge of financial rules, accounting principles, and finance Management procedures.
• Competence in finance platform and resources (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel, financial forecasting software).
• Outstanding logical, issue resolution, and strategic judgment competencies.
• Clear expression and people skills, with the capability to show sophisticated financial information transparently.
• High meticulousness and planning abilities.
