Meat Processing Officer at Botmot Nigeria Limted in Abuloma, Rivers

Position Objective

The Meat Processing Staff is in charge of managing, cutting, processing, and wrapping meat goods in accordance with organisation guidelines, food safety rules, and hygiene qualifications. The position make sure that meat goods are properly readied, safeguarded, and supplied to meet client and organisation needs.

Primary duties

• Accept, examine, and organize meat goods for processing.
• Cut, trim, debone, grind, and portion meat according to requirements.
• Operate meat processing tools (cutting machines, grinders, slicers, etc.) safely and productively.
• Bundle and label processed meat goods in line with hygiene and quality benchmarks.
• Preserve cleanliness and sanitation in the processing zone, conforming to food safety (HACCP) guidelines.
• Track stock of unedited meat and documentation shortages to the manager.
• Follow standard operating standardized processes (SOPs) for meat managing, storage, and preservation.
• Guarantee adherence with health, safety, and hygiene standard procedures at all times.
• Help in loading finished goods for allocation when necessary.

Credentials & Qualifications

• At least an SSCE / OND certification.
• Previous expertise in meat processing, butchery, or food generation is a plus.
• Expertise in food hygiene and safety rules.
• Capability to use knives and meat processing tools safely.
• Physically suit and capable to stand for long hours and manage heavy loads.
• Meticulousness and dedication to quality benchmarks.
• On time, dependable, and capable to operate in a team.
• Required location Abuloma, Trans Amadi or Peter Odili.

Preferred Traits:

• Development in food safety/processing (HACCP) is a plus.
• Capability to operate under pressure and meet generation due dates.
• Robust sense of hygiene and personal hygiene.
