For this specific Chief of Product position, we're seeking a top level product leader who will build from scratch, and own the product aspiration and business operational structures behind our logistics processes. This is a product-first position in a uniquely sophisticated, intensely business space - the preferred candidate will be energized by building and using tech to solve sophisticated logistics challenges, and by building digital structure to oversee sophisticated logistics processes, at scale.
Position Objective
- Chief of Product is a highly prominent position at Moniepoint. Heads of Product are in charge of building a product, running it, and owning its effectiveness from begin to finish of the product’s lifecycle.
- Your product will possess set KPIs with targets to attain. You will be directly in charge of delivering these targets. You will possess a team directly status updates to you to assist you accomplish your targets, which will comprise of Engineering Managers, Software Engineers, QAs, UI/UX professionals, Processes Directs and individuals advocating Adherence and Finance.
- At Moniepoint the client is a key participant. You will be acutely close to the client and build goods around their specific needs.
- You will also need to build for internal and compliance-related factors when the circumstance needs it. It is your position as Chief of Product to stand for the client in all internal engagements, and balance the needs of all within and outside the organization participants for prioritisation.
- Alongside the domain specific qualifications, as a Chief of Product, you will:
- Own and supply against clear KPIs - growth, effectiveness, expertise, income.
- Head frontend & backend teams (PMs, engineers, UI/UX professionals, analysts, etc.) and shape the roadmap.
- Stay obsessively close to clients and business participants.
- Intensely comprehend their department, and what levers to pull to get the product into the hands of clients, at scale, and profitably.
- Balance business needs, compliance-related circumstance, and UX.
- Work practical with data to uncover findings, lead decisions, and ship high-effect enhancements.
- Most notably, our Heads don’t just compose specs - they roll up their sleeves, and build and run the product.
Duties
- Build and scale core operational structures that power logistics processes - empowering smarter organizing, faster implementation, and tighter expense management.
- Recognize business inefficiencies and head the development of technology-enabled initiatives that enhance fulfillment results.
- Lead the design and rollout of channels that streamline daily logistics processes, which includes organizing, dispatch, routing, and exception management.
- Work intensely with business key stakeholders to codify tribal expertise and offline methods into ability to scale product operational structures.
- Formulate and initiate resources that enable visibility, regulate, and responsibility across the logistics lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Engineering to guarantee system architecture is strong, modular, and built for scale.
- Use data to build ongoing input loops into logistics processes, pushing enhancements in effectiveness and predictability.
- Convert business difficulty into product decisions - balancing automatic control with user efficiency for non-technical final users.
- Design for frontline adoption: ensure resources are simple, efficient, and embedded in the routine routines of site teams and external associates.
- Prepare for business scale, volume fluctuations, and regional growth - proactively designing operational structures that accommodate future growth.
Credentials
- Bsc necessary; STEM or commercial degrees preferred. Master of business administration will be an added advantage.
- 8+ years in logistics, stock chain, preferably in high-growth e-commerce, FMCG, or logistics startups.
- 5+ years of expertise in product management executive guidance positions
- Expertise building logistics channels and goods at scale.
- Robust critical thinking and fluency in key indicators (TAT, cost per order, SLAs).
- Capability to oversee difficulty across distributed teams and associates.
