Role summary

The Internal Regulate Officer will be in charge of safeguarding organisation assets, making sure compliance to rules and compliance guidelines, supervising process effectiveness, and mitigating risks across all business units. The preferred candidate will possess robust critical thinking, meticulousness, and the capability to recognize differences in methods while making sure adherence with within and outside the organization qualifications.

Primary duties

• Track and assess the organization’s internal regulate operational structures across all operational units.
• Evaluate financial and business initiatives to identify discrepancies, fraud, or inefficiencies.
• Carry out risk evaluations and endorse preventive measures.
• Guarantee adherence with organisation rules, standardized processes, and applicable regulations/rules.
• Carry out surprise checks, audits, and inquiries where necessary.
• Organize and show documentation for executive review on regulate weaknesses and strategic guidance.
• Assist external and internal auditors during assessments and ensure execution of audit findings.
• Educate employees on adherence, ethical procedures, and compliance to standardized processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree / Higher national diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or relevant field.
• Specialist qualifications (ICAN, ACCA, CISA, or CIA) is a plus.
• 2 – 4 years demonstrated expertise in internal regulate, auditing, or adherence.
• Solid understanding of risk mitigation strategy, auditing guidelines, and compliance-related frameworks.
• Outstanding logical, investigation, and status updates competencies.
• High honesty and reliability, secrecy, and meticulousness.
• Competence in MS Workspace and expertise in accounting/Enterprise resource planning software.
