Job Description

Position Objective

To guarantee that all unedited materials, in-process materials, and finished goods are tested according to authorized requirements and meet quality benchmarks, making sure adherence with GMP, compliance obligations, and organisation rules.

Primary duties

  • Execute physical, chemical, and instrumental evaluation of unedited materials, wrapping materials, in-process, and finished goods.
  • Ensure sampling, running test, and release are executed in accordance with SOPs and cGMP qualifications.
  • Organize and evaluate test documentation, COAs, and preserve precise recordkeeping.
  • Calibrate and operate laboratory instruments which includes HPLC, UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, FTIR, pH meter, etc.
  • Engage in method confirmation, method move, and stability studies.
  • Carry out ecological and water running test as necessary.
  • Documentation and explore OOS (Out of Specification) and OOT (Out of Trend) outcomes.
  • Preserve laboratory cleanliness and ensure safety procedures are followed.
  • Assist within and outside the organization audits and execute corrective/preventive actions (CAPAs).
  • Work alongside Generation, Quality assurance, and other departments to settle quality-associated concerns.

Credentials and Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree or Higher national diploma in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or associated sciences.
  • 2–5 years of applicable Quality control expertise in a pharmaceutical production operations environment.
  • Good expertise in cGMP, GLP, and governance policies (e.g., NAFDAC, WHO, FDA).
  • Expertise with logical instruments like HPLC, UV, FTIR, etc.
