Position Overview

The Settlement & Settlement Officer is in charge of making sure precise and prompt settlement of financial financial record, processing settlements, and addressing discrepancies across various accounts and operational structures. The position plays a key part in preserving financial honesty and reliability and assisting audit and adherence qualifications.

Primary duties

• Execute routine, on a weekly basis, and periodic balance check of financial record across bank accounts, payment channels, POS, wallets, and internal ledgers.
• Explore and settle discrepancies, mismatches, and payment defeats without delay.
• Coordinate with internal departments (Finance, Processes, IT, Client support) and external parties (banks, payment processors) to settle settlement concerns.
• Process and track settlement of capital to suitable participants and guarantee adherence with SLA timelines.
• Preserve precise and current settlement records and documentation.
• Organize periodic settlement and settlement documentation for management evaluate.
• Assist within and outside the organization audits by offering recordkeeping and explanations.
• Verify that every settlement methods adhere with internal regulates, financial rules, and industry guidelines.
• Help in workflow optimization programs to improve effectiveness and reduce process risk.
• Track chargebacks, disputes, and reimbursements, and take suitable actions.

Credentials and Expertise

• Bsc in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a relevant field.
• At least 2-4 years of expertise in settlement, settlement, or associated financial processes.
• Competence in Excel spreadsheet software and accounting/Enterprise resource planning software.
• Expertise with financial solutions, financial technology, banking, or e-commerce channels is a plus.
