Position Overview

We are looking for a meticulous and initiative-driven Legal compliance Officer to join our team. The successful applicant will be in charge of making sure the organization’s processes adhere with all lawful, statutory, and compliance obligations, while also safeguarding the organization’s interests through efficient agreement administration, regulatory framework execution, and risk mitigation strategy.

Adherence Obligations:

  • Formulate, execute, and check adherence frameworks, rules, and standardized processes across the organization.
  • Carry out periodic adherence audits and risk evaluations to recognize differences and endorse initiatives.
  • Guarantee alignment to industry-specific rules and business oversight guidelines.
  • Track and documentation any adherence breaches or risks, and assist remedial actions.
  • Arrange capacity-building plans for employees on adherence rules, ethics, and compliance-related status reports.
  • Ensure adherence concerning information security, anti-money laundering (AML), and other risk zones.

Credentials & Expertise

  • Bachelor of Legal provisions (LL.B) and Barrister-at-Law (BL); a MSC or additional accreditation in adherence is a plus.
  • At least 3 years’ demonstrated expertise in a Legal compliance Officer position or similar role.
  • Deep understanding of Nigerian corporate, business-related, and job legal provisions.
  • Expertise in composing and analyzing lawful documents, rules, and adherence documentation.
  • Understanding with compliance-related bodies which includes CAC, SEC, CBN, NDIC, and other applicable institutions (relying on industry).

  • Robust lawful composing, bargain, and critical thinking.
  • Clear articulation and interpersonal abilities.
  • High professional conduct, honesty and reliability, and meticulousness.
  • Capability to operate under pressure, deliver on time, and manage sensitive matters privately.
  • Competence in Office productivity software resources and lawful analysis databases.
