Job Description
Primary duties
- Formulate and implement a complete plan to grow sales and market distribute in the Modern Trade channel.
- Oversee and strengthen connections with key modern trade associates (e.g., Shoprite, Spar, Hubmart, Justrite, Park’n Shop, etc.).
- Bargain agreements, listing fees, advertising terms, and shelf space distributions.
- Track and evaluate sales effectiveness, category practices, and rival activity within modern trade outlets.
- Head, train, and oversee a team of Modern Trade Senior leaders and Account Managers.
- Ensure regular retail implementation, which includes merchandising, campaigns, and planogram adherence.
- Work alongside Promotion to design and execute efficient trade promotional initiatives.
- Collaborate with Logistics & supply to guarantee zero stockouts and prompt supplies.
- Organize consistent documentation on Modern Trade effectiveness, which includes income, margins, and ROI on campaigns.
- Recognize new modern trade avenues and expand presence into emerging in-store chains.
Qualifications
- Expertise in FMCG, beverages, home appliances, or buyer electronics.
- Bsc in Business Management, Promotion, Sales, or a relevant field. Master of business administration is a plus.
- At least 8–10 years of sales and allocation expertise, with a minimum of 5 years in a executive function within Modern Trade.
- Established history of coordinating key accounts with key in-store chains in Nigeria.
- Deep knowledge of modern in-store processes, category management, and trade promotion.
- Outstanding bargain, information exchange, and management abilities.
- Analytics-based with robust logical and status updates abilities.
- Must be based in Lagos or open to relocation.
