Position Overview

The Generation Accounting officer will be accountable for managing the financial and business components of schedule generation in our publishing organisation. This position blends accounting proficiency with practical generation management to guarantee cost effectiveness, quality assurance, and on-time completion of printed materials.

Obligations and Duties

• Organize and track generation financial plans, making sure alignment with organisation financial targets.
• Preserve precise budget forecasts and organize concluding cost documentation for all schedule projects.
• Track, evaluate, and documentation on generation expenditures, recognizing cost-saving avenues.
• Organize yearly generation financial statements, which includes profit and loss evaluation per title.
• Resolve generation-associated accounts with the finance unit.
• Offer cost breakdowns for each stage of printing (pre-press, press, and post-press).
• Assist external and internal audits with precise generation-associated finance records.
• Utilize financial system for expenditure tracking, billing, and status updates.
• Supervise daily processes of the printing process from manuscript handover to concluding product dispatch.
• Oversee and organize with printing press operators, UI/UX professionals, bindery employees, and vendors.
• Track generation plans and guarantee promptness finalization of all titles.
• Ensure most effective use and servicing & maintenance of printing tools and machines
• Guarantee standard regulate throughout the process of generation to preserve publishing guidelines.
• Strategy generation process and assign assets productively to avoid non-operational time.
• Guarantee adherence with industry safety guidelines and organisation rules.

Position Specialization

• Bsc in Accounting, Finance, or associated discipline (professional certification which includes ICAN, ACCA, or CIPFA are a desirable asset).
• At least 5 years’ cognate expertise in publishing and printing generation.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing workflows, printing machinery, and schedule publishing guidelines.
• Competence in financial system (e.g. SAGE)
• Robust financial planning, cost-regulate, and financial evaluation competencies.
• Outstanding executive guidance, bargain, and verbal abilities
• Robust organisational and analytical abilities with meticulousness.
• Capability to operate under pressure and oversee various generation projects at the same time.
