Position Description
As part of this reform, UN Resident Organizer Workspaces (UN RCO), under the executive guidance of an empowered and self-sufficient UN Resident Organizer - the highest-ranking formal of the UN Development System and Delegate of the UN Administrative assistant-General at the country level - assist countries in the accomplishment of their development key focuses and the achievement of the SDGs. The role is located in the United Nations Resident Synchronization Workspace (RCO) in Abuja, Nigeria and documentation to the Top level Development Synchronization Officer, Strategic Organizing and RCO Supervisory role.
Other:
Collects and evaluates data to recognize practices or patterns and offer findings through graphs, charts, tables and documentation using data visualization methods to enable analytics-based organizing, strategic judgment, visual communication and status updates. Make sure that qualifications, profile used for data evaluation are recorded. Executes other applicable obligations as allocated.
Expertise:
- At least five (5) years of progressively in charge expertise in maintainable development regulatory framework, economic evaluation or project/program management in the circumstance of development teamwork or associated area is essential.
- Two (2) years or more of expertise in business intelligence or associated area is preferred.
- Expertise in assisting development funding in SDG funding is preferred.
- Work expertise managing multi-participant spaces and participatory evaluation methods; capability to work alongside others, to offer his/her own viewpoint, and to be launch to multifaceted perspectives is preferred.
Skills Competence:
- Capability to submit application maintainable development theories, notions and approaches.
- Capability to recognize concerns, evaluate and engage in the solution of concerns/ challenges.
- Capability to carry out data collection using various methods, evaluate and analyze it in assist of strategic judgment and communicate resulting information for executive review.
- Theoretical logical and analytical competencies to carry out self-sufficient analysis and evaluation, which includes understanding with and expertise in application of various analysis suppliers, which includes electronic assets on the internet, intranet and other databases.
- Shows pride in work and in accomplishments; displays specialist skilled and expertise in subject matter; is conscientious and productive in meeting obligations, observing due dates and delivering outcomes; is inspired by specialist rather than personal matters; shows persistence when faced with difficult challenges or hurdles; remains calm in stressful conditions.

Language:
English and French are the operating languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the role promoted, fluency in English is essential. Expertise in French is preferred. Expertise in another formal United Nations language is a plus. NOTE: "Fluency" equals a rating of "fluent" in all four zones (read, compose, speak, comprehend) and "expertise in" equals a rating of "Assured" in two of the four zones.
Evaluations:
Assessment of certified applicants for this role may comprise of a substantive evaluation, which includes a documented test, which will be followed by a skill-focused interview by phone/Teleconference (MS Teams) or in-person, where possible.
