State Team supervisor / Service and Standard enhancement Organizer at Jhpiego Nigeria in Ondo

Overview

State Team supervisor/Service/Standard enhancement Organizer will be in charge of offering executive guidance for the state team and also executive guidance in skills development, training and helpful oversight in the technical zone of RMNCH for the upcoming Momentum Country and Worldwide Executive guidance (MCGL) Quality of Care (QoC)/CEmONC project in Nigeria. The State Team supervisor/Service/Standard enhancement Organizer will offer technical support at the State selected secondary and primary health care level initiatives. This combined health project goals to support to reductions in child and maternal morbidity and mortality in target states, and to grow the capacity of health operational structures and health care vendors to sustainably assist quality Complete and Basic Crisis Obstetric and new born solutions (BEmONC and CEmONC) and Nutrition solutions at secondary and PHC level of care. The project will operate for a one-year period.

Duties

• Offer technical direction on service and standard enhancement that is sound, evidence-based and responsive to the needs of the suitable State and US
• Offer engineering guidance, and build local capacity using proven development approaches and standard enhancement structured approaches.
• Offer development sessions (vendors and development of trainers) in addition to client engagement assist and clinical training as necessary for QI at secondary and primary health care facilities.
• Customer care/standard enhancement endeavors, approaches and resources at all helped health facilities in selected states.
• Assist nutrition and referral solutions and operational structures at the state to guarantee they are operational.
• Formulate plans for rising the percentage of pregnant women, which includes married adolescents, who supply under the care of a proficient birth attendant
• Support with State Ministry of Health for adoption of new evidence based standard enhancement (QI) industry standards at health facilities in project sites.
• Support with other ministries, group, NGO’s, and religious key stakeholders to assist and advance service/standard enhancement parts and grow uptake of health facility solutions by women and their children.
• Support to and organize with the programme’s M&E (Monitoring and evaluation) team on initiatives to guarantee that the programme meets set targets in accordance with national and USG guidelines.
• Stand for programme at state level participant sessions and technical operating groups in engagement to service/standard enhancement of RMNCH, Nutrition and associated technical zones.

Management:

• Offer direction of the MCGL QoC/CEmONC team at the State.
• Support to yearly work organizing, development strategies and every quarter documentation and other
• necessary technical documentation.
• Support to prompt, precise and suitable status updates of programme initiatives and outcomes.
• Guarantee standard programme execution regular with MOH Nigerian Standard procedures, worldwide industry standards and US Government Nigerian Strategic Directions.
• Assess programme advancement against outputs on a every quarter basis
• With the State Team, supervise programme design, execution, QA and supervising of work strategy.
• Organize with the other members of the technical team and NGO associates to formulate and execute feasible facility and locally-driven approaches
• Execute other obligations as allocated by manager which support to the accomplishment of programme targets.

Necessary Credentials

• The State Team supervisor/Service/Standard enhancement Organizer must be a proven leader in the site of RMNCH service and standard enhancement with executive top level leadership background in community health programs. The State Team supervisor/Organizer must be intimately knowledgeable about the circumstance in Nigeria and possess in-country expertise with US Government programs. Additional credentials comprise of:
• An skilled Maternal health worker/Nursing officer or any other strongly connected health care specialist; other associated courses (e.g. MPH, Master's degree or other applicable academic qualification) will be a plus.
• At least 8 years of expertise operating in RMNCH in Africa, ideally in Nigeria
• Exhibited competence in operating directly with organizer-group, top level government authorities and regulatory framework makers in RMNCH.
• Expertise operating with organizer-country associates, entities, and institutions
• Proficient abilities in management of employees, programme design, execution and supervising of programme parts; e.g. solutions, development, helpful oversight, clinical training, support and synchronization.
• Exhibited capacity to operate with State Ministry of Health, SPHCDA, Local Government Authority and associates in conceptualizing technical materials and offering development to enhance service dispatch, support and asset mobilization for expanding standard enhancement of RMNCH solutions.
• Expertise with operating on RMNCH programs financed by the US Government and/or other donor programs in conceptualizing countries, with significant Nigeria expertise.
• Robust verbal, listening, drafting, and intrapersonal competencies crucial for efficient synchronization among several institutions and employees participated in a extensive range of initiatives.
• Fluent in English, (documented and spoken communication information exchange) and Hausa and/or Fulfulde.
• Readiness to commute throughout Nigeria as necessary.
