Position Description

We are looking for very driven individuals to fill the position of Project officer for the Disability Welcoming Disaster Risk Reduction (DIDRR) Project in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Under the direct oversight of the DIDRR Project supervisor, the Project Assistants will play a pivotal position in offering managerial assist to guarantee the successful execution of SFHF’s FCT DIDRR Project.

Credentials and Expertise

• Bsc in Disaster Management, Agricultural Extension, Development Studies, or a relevant field.
• 3 years of expertise in humanitarian programs, with a concentration on WASH, Agriculture, Livelihoods, and Disaster Risk Reduction.
• Integration of expertise in Locally-driven Entities (CBOs), Non-Governmental Entities (Nonprofit organizations), and International Non-Governmental Entities (INGOs) is crucial.
• Competence in documentation drafting and meeting facilitation.
• Expertise in crucial work-based computer software and applications.
• Outstanding synchronization, schedule control, and assignment prioritization competencies.
• Capability to operate under at least oversight.
• Ability to thrive in stressful environments with rigid due dates.
• Clear expression competencies in English; fluency in Hausa is advantageous.
• Capability to commute when necessary.
• Handling multiple responsibilities and collaboration abilities.
