Building Officer at United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) in Maiduguri, Borno

Duties

• Assist the project setup of the yearly building workplan.
• Partnership with UNICEF Program/Processes and synchronization with Government counterparts.
• Project setup of design and technical documents.
• Assist the procurement process.

Qualifications Education:

A academic qualification is essential in in civil engineering, building engineering, architecture or other applicable area.

Expertise:

• At least two (2) years of related experience, at the national and/or international levels, in project supervising, on-site oversight, QA and/or other directly associated technical fields is essential.
• Comprehension of development and humanitarian work.
• Crisis expertise a plus.

Languages:

Fluency in English is essential. Expertise in another formal UN language or local language of the responsibility station is assessed as an asset.

• Good expertise and comprehension of UNICEF programs, public procurement principles, financial and lawful components of building concerns, ethics and risk mitigation strategy of building project.
