House Manager at Palmpay Limited in Lagos

Position Overview

The House Manager will be in charge of coordinating the daily processes of the dormitory, making sure a safe, clean, and cozy living environment. This comprises monitoring cleaning, culinary service, servicing & maintenance, and tenant relations, while also making sure cultural factors for residents are respected.

Primary duties

• Supervise routine dormitory processes which includes room maintenance services, culinary service, guard, and general upkeep.
• Organize repairs, servicing & maintenance work, and facility inspections to guarantee all living zones are in outstanding requirement.
• Oversee dormitory inventory which includes cleaning materials, toiletries, and bedding.
• Act as the main point of reach out for dormitory residents, dealing with matters promptly and competently.
• Ensure smooth information exchange between Chinese residents and local employees, assisting language and cultural comprehension.
• Arrange and ensure adherence to dormitory regulations, rules, and safety standard procedures.
• Oversee dormitory assistants which includes janitors, cooks, and security officers.
• Coordinate with external vendors for culinary service, laundry, pest regulate, and servicing & maintenance solutions.
• Track vendor effectiveness to guarantee service standard.
• Guarantee adherence with health, safety, and hygiene guidelines.
• Carry out consistent safety drills and inspections.
• Preserve precise records of occupancy, servicing & maintenance plans, and system issue documentation.
• Organize and oversee dormitory business financial plans.
• Track expenditures and ensure cost-efficient processes without compromising quality.
• Send periodic documentation for executive review on dormitory status, incidents, and enhancements.

Credentials & Qualifications

• Bsc in hotel management Management, Business Management, Facilities Management, or relevant field.
• 4+ years’ expertise in real estate management, hotel management, or employees accommodation processes.
• Expertise operating with Chinese expatriates or in a diverse environment is highly preferred.
• Robust interpersonal and analytical abilities.
• Capability to convey productively in English; Mandarin competence is a robust advantage.
• Expertise in health, safety, and hygiene rules.
• Robust planning abilities with meticulousness.
