Role summary

• We are looking for a proficient and initiative-driven IT Officer to oversee and assist the organization’s information tech structure.
• The IT Officer will be in charge of making sure the smooth process, guard, and reliability of all IT support, networks, and devices across the company.
• The preferred candidate will possess robust specialized skill, issue resolution abilities, and a concentration on preserving business continuity while assisting final users.

Duties

• Oversee, preserve, and assist the organization’s Technology infrastructure, which includes servers, networks, devices, and cloud solutions.
• Supervise operations effectiveness and execute necessary status reports, patches, and upgrades to guarantee most effective capability.
• Diagnose issues and settle hardware, software, and network concerns promptly to reduce non-operational time.
• Help in the deploying and setup of new IT tools, software, and operational structures for employees.
• Ensure data guard, backup standardized processes, and disaster recovery strategies are executed and preserved.
• Preserve user accounts, permissions, and entry rights across all IT support.
• Offer IT assistance and development to employees, dealing with IT-associated questions and hurdles.
• Track IT stock, which includes hardware, software permits, and other tech assets, and ensure precise records.
• Work alongside external vendors and service vendors to preserve IT agreements and performance thresholds.
• Guarantee adherence with information security rules.
• Execute and ensure adherence to IT rules, guidelines, and standardized processes in line with organisation qualifications.

Skills

• Bsc in Information Tech, Computer Science, or a relevant field preferred, but not required.
• Demonstrated expertise as an IT Officer, IT systems support, or in a similar IT position.
• Solid understanding of digital infrastructure, networks, hardware, software, and cloud-based solutions.
• Expertise with network management, steward management, and Information security procedures.
• Outstanding issue resolution and diagnosing issues competencies.
• Robust planning abilities and capability to oversee various IT duty at the same time.
• Clear communication competencies to offer assistance to non-specialists and work alongside external vendors.
• Capability to protect privacy and manage sensitive information with discretion.
• Competence in Microsoft office productivity suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, SharePoint, and OneDrive) and other applicable software.
