We are recruiting an Engineering operations manager for Ceph & Distributed Storage.
The world produce more than 2.5 quintillion bytes of data every day! We want to assist teams to store data in launch acquire storage on goods hardware - safely, cheaply and simply.
Our objective is to make Ceph easy to install, oversee and use - from large enterprise information infrastructure system setups to half-rack edge sites.

As an engineering operations manager at Canonical you must be technically robust, but your duty is to run an efficient team and formulate the teammates you oversee.
You are anticipated to assist them grow as engineers, do significant work, do it outstandingly well, find specialist and personal fulfillment, and work well with teammates and group.
Engineering guidance expertise and a profile in software engineering are necessary prerequisites for this position.
You will be anticipated to head, difficulty, and formulate robust engineers, positively shape the culture, coordinate technical dispatch, and collaborate with your team on plan and implementation.
You will be in charge of sound software architecture and industry standards in software quality, running test and recordkeeping.

You will head a team building a Ceph attentive software defined storage initiative
You will build and oversee a internationally distributed team of engineers
You’ll formulate your team through mentoring, training and response
You will show audio engineering principles by directly supporting toward your team’s targets
Set rational plans based on assessed estimates, with response loops for advancement
Set and align understanding with other technical groups and external participants
Improve modern, nimble software development procedures

Be an active part of the executive guidance team and work alongside other key stakeholders in the company
WFH with worldwide commute up to 20% for within and outside the organization events

You possess a software engineering profile, ideally with Python and C++ expertise
You possess background operating scale out storage clusters on Linux in generation environments, ideally with Ceph
You love embracing new technical solutions and pushing the boundaries of what is possible
You love conceptualizing and growing people and possess a track document of doing it
You possess an interest in building goods that enhance how people operate software and structure everywhere
