Financial officer at a Reputable Non-governmental Organisation in Ikoyi, Lagos

Position Overview

• The Financial officer will assist the efficient and transparent management of the company’s financial assets, making sure the proper utilisation of capital from donors, sponsors, and other suppliers.
• Operating closely with the Finance Head, the position will execute and preserve financial operational structures, methods, and regulates that strengthen financial planning, finance reporting, evaluation, and adherence.
• By making sure precision, responsibility, and compliance to donor and statutory qualifications, the Financial officer will support to the company’s purpose of progressing women’s support, gender equity, and political addition.

Business Assist:

Help in the financial evaluate of financing proposals and offer applicable financial data to assist asset mobilization endeavors. Offer IT assistance to program teams on financial methods and adherence qualifications.

Key Qualifications

• Bsc in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or relevant field.
• At least 4 years’ expertise in finance or accounting, ideally inside an NGO, civic-technology, or community influence company.
• ACA accreditation (necessary).
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial planning, and finance reporting.
• Competence in financial system (e.g., QuickBooks) and online platforms (Excel, Google Workspace).
• Exceptional meticulousness, planning abilities, and recordkeeping capability.
• Robust documented and spoken communication competencies.
• Capability to operate independently, oversee various key focuses, and deliver on time in a dynamic environment.
• High level of honesty and reliability, discretion, and competence in managing financial information.
