Invoicer Feature lead – TV & Electricity at Palmpay Limited in Lagos

Position Overview

We are looking for a expert Invoicer Feature lead – TV & Electricity to own and scale PalmPay’s digital utility payments, with a core concentration on Cable TV (DStv, GOtv, Startimes) and Electricity (PHED, IKEDC, EEDC, etc.). This position will merge product thinking with in-depth business implementation, channel logic design, and practical instrument usage to guarantee these solutions remain dependable, efficient, and user-friendly.

Primary duties

• Head the product aspiration and plan for TV and Electricity invoice payments inside the app. 
• Design and preserve channel entry logic for electricity and TV billers to enhance for uptime, cost effectiveness, and success rate.
• Work alongside BD and technical teams to assess and combine new electricity allocation companies (DisCos) and cable service vendors.
• Track service accessibility and proactively settle non-operational time or consolidation concerns in partnership with engineering and processes.
• Execute standard procedure business modifications (pricing status reports, API switchovers, function flags) using internal resources within SLA timelines. 
• Own performance indicators: transaction success rate, Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR), channel switch turnaround time, every month transacting users (MTU), and service issues rate.
• Leverage SQL or dashboards to evaluate service drop-offs, root cause errors, and user conduct.
• Establish product qualifications (PRDs) and head running test of new invoicer flows or fixes.
• Stay current on DisCo-specific regulations (e.g., token data layouts, KCTs, meter types) and DStv/GOTV logic (e.g., IUC regulations, bouquet modifications).
• Lead user-centric optimizations (e.g., retry flows, saved meter numbers, warn messages).

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of product leadership background, preferably in financial technology, utilities, or telco environments.
• Understanding with the TV and electricity invoicing landscape in Nigeria, which includes APIs, consolidation procedures, and regional variances in DisCo conduct.
• Deep knowledge of channel routing logic and how to assess and change between service vendors.
• Competence in data resources - SQL, Excel, or BI resources like Metabase or Looker.
• Cozy with administrator instrument usage to submit application service or pricing modifications without dev assist.
• Outstanding recordkeeping, running test, and business organizing capabilities.
• High ownership mentality - responds quickly to incidents and proactively executes long-term initiatives.

Preferred:

• Expertise operating directly with electricity allocation companies or cable TV vendors.
• Understanding with product-guided MTU growth tactics for utility solutions.
• Expertise in client journey mapping for transactional and error-prone solutions.
