Position Overview

We are looking for a hardworking and outcomes-driven Repossession Officer to oversee asset recovery endeavors for defaulting clients. The position includes carrying out repossession initiatives in accordance with organisation standard procedures and lawful qualifications, preserving precise records, and operating closely with legal compliance teams to reduce losses and recover assets productively.

Primary duties

• Implement asset recovery actions for clients who possess defaulted on loan repayments, observing firmly to repossession rules and standard procedures.
• Preserve thorough and precise records of all repossession initiatives, which includes recovered assets and communications.
• Organize with legal compliance departments to guarantee all repossession standardized processes adhere with relevant legal provisions and rules.
• Engage with delinquent customers competently to coordinate prompt recovery of assets and explore solution options.
• Goal to reduce financial losses by making sure prompt and productive repossession of collateral.
• Organize consistent documentation on repossession status, results, and hurdles for management evaluate.
• Assist process enhancements to improve the effectiveness and performance of asset recovery processes.

Credentials & Expertise

• Bsc or certification in Business Management or a relevant field is desirable.
• 1–2 years of expertise in asset recovery, collections, or associated positions, ideally inside the financial solutions sector.
• Expertise in repossession legal provisions, rules, and standardized best practices.
• Robust planning abilities and meticulousness.
• Clear articulation and bargaining ability.
• Capability to manage sensitive conditions with competence and tact.
• Understanding with recovery software or asset tracking operational structures will be an added advantage.
