Chief of Effect - West & Central Africa at Christian Aid (CA) in Abuja (FCT)

About the Position

We areseeking a Chief of Effect, based in Abuja, Nigeria to head the West and Central Africa Multi-Country Cluster (WACA MCC). This is a new position, in an continuously adapting company, which brings together all of our humanitarian, development and shaping work, to be guided and aligned through the MCCs. The Chief of Effect, WACA will head our work across our priority countries in this region. MCC teams will enable us to produce more space for associates to flourish and head, and unlock our capability to operate more horizontally, and to formulate program that cut across various countries. Status updates to our Director of Effect, each MCC will work together, with the Heads of Effect forming part of an extended directorate team that meets routinely with the CEO and directors, to jointly head the company’s work on effect.

Position Objective

• Head a coherent adjustment plan for the region, which outcomes in major influence on poverty. Bringing together development, humanitarian and support work as part of a agile effect plan, dealing with both poverty relief and dealing with the underlying causes of poverty.
• Hold monitoring of the resourcing plan for the region, this will require an capability to bring all suppliers of financing together to lead a coherent effect plan.
• Acquire efficient management of assets across program, assign assets to maximise effect and recognize targeted advantage.
• Offer direction across all processes, making sure close synchronization across development, humanitarian, and shaping strategic collaborations.
• Stand for Christian Assist’s program and support, enhancing associates’ expertise, findings and executive guidance.

About You
