Role summary

As a Perioperative Nursing officer, you will be in charge of making sure the offering excellent quality assured purification and sterilization solutions of medical devices for the use on patients in the clinical zones, also in charge of the dispatch of safe, efficient, direct and indirect, patient-family centered care through the continuum of perioperative care to comprise of outpatient surgery unit, perioperative unit, operating guest accommodation, post-anesthesia care unit, sterile processing department, and anesthesia solutions.

Duties

• Offer premium quality, empathetic nursing care and patient assist.
• Carry out preoperative evaluations and organize patient care strategies.
• Ensure the accessibility and capability of surgical tools and inventory.
• Preserve aseptic methods and ensure adherence to infection regulatory actions.
• Help in surgical standardized processes and manage medications as necessary.
• Guarantee adherence with safety rules and clinical procedures.
• Assistants development and uninterrupted standard enhancement programs.
• Oversee stock, sterilization, and proper recordkeeping of instruments.
• Work alongside surgical teams and other healthcare experts.
• Preserve precise records and documentation on perioperative solutions.

Qualifications

• At least academic certification of a Registered Nursing officer Certification
• Must have the Post Basic Perioperative Nursing Certification
• 1 year of applicable professional background in the healthcare sector
• Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria and ongoing licensure
• Competence in Office productivity software applications
• Clear articulation competencies, both spoken communication and documented, along with robust interpersonal and team lead abilities
• Displays strong precision and meticulousness
• Accredited in Basic Life Assist (BLS) and Improved Cardiac Life Assist (ACLS)
• Understanding with the Nursing officer Practice Act and procedures for safety and injection regulate procedures.
