Position Overview
The Project assistant for Protection will assist the execution of programs targeted at safeguarding the rights and well-being of at risk populations. This position includes operating with networks to recognize protection risks, offer support, and make sure that individuals, especially women and children, are safe from harm, exploitation, and abuse.
Duties
- Case Management: Help in recognizing and documenting protection matters and referring cases to suitable solutions.
- Group Consciousness: Carry out consciousness marketing and workshops on protection concerns, which includes gender-based violence (GBV) and child protection.
- Supervising: Track the protection environment and documentation on practices and incidents affecting at risk people.
- Data governance: Preserve precise and private records of protection-associated initiatives and recipients.
- Status updates: Support to the project setup of consistent documentation on protection initiatives and results.
- Synchronization: Coordinate with other humanitarian entities, regulatory bodies, and group key stakeholders to organize protection endeavors.
Credentials
- A Bsc in Community-related Sciences, Law, Psychology, or a relevant field.
- Proven operating expertise in Mubi is essential.
- Expertise in protection, community-related work, or a humanitarian site.
- Deep knowledge of protection principles and international humanitarian law.
- Clear articulation and people skills, with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.
- Capability to manage sensitive and private information with discretion.
- Competence in local languages (e.g., Hausa, Fulfulde) is a plus.
- Skilled in Ms office tools.
