Position Overview

The Health, safety, and environment Officer is in charge of making sure that Sagad Farms operates in adherence with health, safety, and ecological rules, while also nurturing a safety-first culture across all operational units. You will head the design, execution, and supervising of Health, safety, and environment procedures that protect people, livestock, and the environment.

Development & Culture:

• Head safety development, toolbox talks, and induction programs for all farm employees and service providers.
• Advance Health, safety, and environment consciousness and industry standards through routine presence, status updates, and ongoing education.
• Lead a initiative-driven safety culture by recognizing and correcting unsafe procedures before incidents occur.

System issue Management:

Address, explore, and documentation accidents, injuries, or ecological incidents; preserve data records and suggest corrective actions. Collaborate with applicable governing bodies on audits or inspections, making sure prompt solution of violation concerns.

Ecological Stewardship:

Execute and track environmentally aware waste disposal, chemical managing, and asset coordination (water, fuel, etc.). Endorse maintainable procedures that assist farm productivity and environmental public health.

Key Qualifications

• Bsc or certification in Ecological Science, Work-related Workplace safety and wellness, Agricultural Science, or relevant field.
• At least 2–3 years of expertise in a similar Health, safety, and environment position (agriculture or production operations sector preferred).
• Expertise in national Health, safety, and environment legal provisions, ecological rules, and standardized best practices.
• Clear articulation competencies and effective guidance presence on the ground.
• Accreditation in Health, safety, and environment (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO 45001, etc.) is a plus.
• Capability to operate independently, oversee crises, and make sound decisions under pressure.
