Position Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and dependable Accounting officer to join our school’s managerial team. The preferred candidate will be in charge of coordinating finance records, making sure adherence with accounting guidelines, and assisting the school’s entire financial health. The School Accounting officer is accountable for managing daily financial financial record, preserving precise finance records, getting ready documentation, and making sure compliance to compliance-related and internal financial rules. This position requires honesty and reliability, precision, and the capability to operate jointly with school executive guidance and other departments.

Wage processing & Payments:

• Process employees wage processing in a prompt and precise manner.
• Oversee payments to vendors, service vendors, and external advisors.
• Verify that every statutory conclusions (e.g., PAYE, pension) are precisely calculated and remitted.

Adherence & Audit:

• Guarantee adherence with all financial rules and school rules.
• Organize for and assist both within and outside the organization audit methods.
• Preserve structured records for all accounting initiatives and accounting records.

Credentials & Competencies

• Bsc in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field.
• At least 2–3 years related experience, in an teaching setting
• ICAN Certification
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and use of financial system (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Excel).
• Outstanding meticulousness, critical thinking, and honesty and reliability.
• Capability to operate independently and in a collaborative environment.
