Researcher / Editing spacialist – ESG Ratings at Independent Project Monitoring Company (IPMC) Limited in Nigeria

Role Overview

We are looking for a meticulous and logical Researcher/Editing spacialist to join our ESG Ratings team. The preferred candidate will be in charge of carrying out deep study on ESG factors, evaluating data, and making sure the precision and quality of our ESG rating documentation. This position requires a deep knowledge of ESG principles, outstanding editorial competencies, and the capability to produce sophisticated information into clear, brief documentation.

Primary duties

• Carry out complete analysis on companies’ ecological, community-related, and compliance procedures using various data suppliers, which includes public disclosures, compliance-related filings, and third-party databases.
• Evaluate quantitative and qualitative ESG data to assist the development of ESG ratings and scores.
• Evaluate and refine ESG rating documentation to guarantee visual precision, precision, uniformity, and compliance to organisation guidelines.
• Work alongside the ESG data analysis and data science teams to confirm data inputs and structured approaches.
• Track ESG practices, compliance-related progress updates, and standardized best practices to guide analysis and editorial methods.
• Help in the project setup of customer-facing documentation, demonstrations, and other communications.
• Preserve current expertise in ESG frameworks, guidelines, and rating structured approaches (e.g., SASB, GRI, TCFD, UN PRI).
• Assist ongoing development programs to improve analysis quality and editorial processes.

Credentials

• Bsc in Ecological Science, Finance, Long-term viability, Business, Journalism, or a relevant field. Postgraduate degree preferred.
• 5+ years of expertise in ESG analysis, long-term viability evaluation, financial analysis, or editorial positions.
• Deep knowledge of ESG notions, indicators, and status updates frameworks.
• Outstanding analysis competencies with the capability to collect and analyze sophisticated data from various suppliers.
• Exceptional drafting and editing competencies with a sharp perception for description and precision.
• Competence in Ms office tools; expertise with data evaluation resources (e.g., E xcel, Python, R) will be an added advantage.
• Capability to operate independently and jointly in a dynamic environment.
• Robust corporate and time-leadership abilities with the capability to oversee various projects at the same time.
