Job Description
Objective of the Task
The Site Researcher will collect, confirm, and documentation violent dispute incidents in their state of residence. This comprises coordinating with with group participants, participating key events, supervising local news, and offering thorough, prompt, and precise documentation.
Primary duties
- Track and record violent dispute incidents in the allocated state.
- Collect primary data through interviews with key informants (group key stakeholders, guard agencies, local reporters, victims, and eyewitnesses).
- Guarantee promptness and precise entry of data through appointed analytics platforms/channels.
- Cross-confirm and triangulate data with various suppliers to guarantee credibility.
- Engage in periodic development, team sessions, and assessments.
- Follow the Do No Harm principle by making sure informed approval, safeguarding secrecy, and carrying out all initiatives in a dispute-sensitive and culturally respectful.
Valuable abilities:
- Clear articulation and people skills.
- Robust logical and documentation-drafting abilities.
- Capability to operate independently with minimal oversight.
- Basic comprehension of digital data collection resources (e.g., KoboToolbox, ODK, Google Forms).
- Dedication to non-partisan and neutral data collection.
Outputs:
- Validated system issue documentation provided routine/on a weekly basis/every month.
- Key informant interview overviews (where necessary).
- Consistent dispute trend overviews and hotspot status reports.
- Presence and payments to all necessary virtual or physical development sessions/briefings.
