Role summary

As a Data scientist, you will interact with the engineering team to solve challenges and build, extend, enhance and refactor the back-end architecture of our growing goods. This includes responsibility for operating on our current codebase along with new projects. Airtel Africa Digital Labs (AADL) possesses a highly driven engineering-driven environment where your payment will be felt at once. All teams at AADL are participated in every part of our development life cycle.

Duties

• Productive, ability to scale, and premium quality data architecture: Formulate and execute databases, data collection operational structures, business intelligence and other plans that enhance statistical effectiveness and quality
• Uninterrupted accessibility of clean, precise, and current data: Obtain data from primary or secondary data suppliers and preserve databases/data operational structures
• Practical findings that inform strategic business decisions: Recognize, evaluate, and analyze practices or patterns in sophisticated data sets
• Boosted participant fulfillment with data analysis results: Collaborate with management to prioritize business and information needs
• Smooth unification of data initiatives with structure and operational structures: Organize with Structure Team, System Engineering & Database administrator groups.
• Reduced business overhead and upgraded service dispatch: Comprehend the capabilities of operational base and ensure efficient dispatch/processes relation

Related experience:

• Specialized skill regarding data models, DB design development, data mining and segmentation methods
• Solid understanding of and expertise with status updates bundles, databases, programming frameworks.
• Robust critical thinking with the capability to collect, arrange, evaluate, and circulate significant amounts of information with meticulousness and precision

Other qualifications: 

Out of many resources and technical solutions, we use Java, MongoDb, Cassandra, Redis, Twem, Netty extensively for our back-end development; expertise in these resources is a plus.
