Job Description
Objective of Task
The selected supervisors will mentor, track and oversee the data enumerators throughout the Malaria Market Evaluation (MMA) data collection process. The data manager will guarantee adherence of the data enumerators to all standard procedures emphasised during the qualitative development exercise by the data enumerators. Quickly, the supervisors will ensure data enumerators comprehend and adhere with professional behavior of analysis, adhere with the MMA analysis structured approach, follow Malaria Consortium safeguarding regulatory framework, liaise with study participants in socially and culturally acceptable ways, respect participants right and freedom to either offer an informed approval (Consent to engage) or offer informed dissent (Reject involvement) as suitable in the study. Manager will also ensure data enumerators use suitable resources, send precise data and use the DC voice input devices to record the views of the participants throughout the study.
Scope of Work
- Engage in skills development activity on FGDs, KII, IDI study advisors.
- Engage in pretesting (Aviator running test of resources), discussion of data collection resources, position plays, and site simulation exercises).
- Head in survey participant verification and serve as first point of reach out to handle instant hurdles or offer oversite at the grassroot level and report to higher support tier hurdles to MC as deemed suitable.
- Each state manager will supervise 4 data enumerators for the qualitative arm of the MMA survey.
- Head in interview timetable and distribution of qualitative interviews to enumerator pairs in the state using the authorized population group stratifications.
- Oversee data enumerators to guarantee collection excellent quality and precise data through periodic inspection procedures.
- Evaluate all deep interviews, key informant interviews and target group discussions data for quality and alignment with study targets before distribution for translation and transcription.
- Offer a on a weekly basis and end of data collection documentation highlighting the group entry, data collection process, key hurdles, lessons learn and strategic guidance to MC.
- Engage in operational check-in sessions at the end of each site activity.
- Documentation any site incidence to the project team for prompt response.
- Take executive guidance allocating audio files for translation and transcription to data enumerators and collate the audio files and transcripts for entry to MC analysis Expert after the qualitative survey.
- Organize with the analysis expert and other project team throughout the data collection process.
Credentials and Expertise
- Applicants must possess a Bachelors’ Academic qualification in Statistics, Community health or any medical relevant field with a minimum of 3 years’ expertise.
- Robust evidence of prior involvement in a qualitative survey particularly FGDs, KII and IDIs.
- Practical understanding of Office productivity software bundle with good documentation skilled in writing.
- Residency inside the project execution state and accessibility for the duration of the MMA survey exercise.
- Applicant must not be a active staff of any government ministry or agency as at the time of hiring process.
- Good comprehension of analysis structured approach.
- In-depth understanding of the predominant local language of the state, residency inside the state and competence in spoken and documented English Language.
- Outstanding schedule control, executive guidance, synchronization and planning abilities.
Outputs:
- Overview documentation of routine site initiatives collated from site enumerators.
- Concluding Consultancy documentation for the states.
- Collation of timesheets and other necessary documents for entry to national manager.
- Total number of registered and timetable KIIs, IDIs and FGD sessions with participants forward of the qualitative arm of the survey.
- Entry of Translated study resources into predominant local language of the engaged resident state of the project.
- Participate applicable state level post-review with the SMEP on industry standards and difficulty risk reduction as suitable.
- Collate the timesheets of all allocated data enumerators and send them to the national manager.
