Overview
A IMAM (Locally-driven Management of Acute Malnutrition) supplier at LABDI is a position attentive on executing and assisting programs that handle acute malnutrition in children, often within a specific geographic zone like Yobe State in Nigeria. LABDI plays a key role in offering technical and corporate assist, which includes development and supervising operational structures for IMAM programs.
Other Duties:
- Offer health education disinfection and precautions.
- Educate-the-Trainer model to advance empowerment & long-term viability.
- Carry out health education initiatives and circulate information to the public to prevent panic.
Patient Care:
- Ensure and carry out the medical discussions with full record taking, clinical examination and offer a diagnosis and prescribe treatment as appropriate following the procedures and universal precautions
- Actively engage in the good cohesion and synchronization of the team.
- Work alongside other departments as needed to guarantee smooth execution and consolidation of solutions.
- Preserve the operating environment in a clean and professional in appearance state.
M&E:
LABDI IMAM vendors are participated in supervising the advancement of the programme and analyzing its performance.This may engage: Collecting data on the number of children treated, their diet-focused status, and treatment results.
Skills development:
- A significant part of a IMAM supplier's position is to build the capacity of local health workers and group voluntary assistants to oversee and execute IMAM programs.This may engage:
- Development group voluntary assistants to screen children for malnutrition using MUAC (Mid-Upper Arm Circumference).
- Offering IT assistance to health workers on treatment procedures and programme execution.
- Directing and training employees to guarantee quality of care.
Support and Consciousness:
LABDI IMAM vendors may also be participated in lifting consciousness about malnutrition and promoting for boosted assets and attention to this problem.
