Chief, Finance & Accounting at the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) in National Engineering Centre, Central Business District - Abuja (FCT)

Position Overview

To perform all processes concerning the management of the Society's records of accounts and financial resources, and offer the National Leadership board (EXCO) and the Council with precise and prompt financial information and documentation.

Duties

• Supervise the proper servicing & maintenance of the Secretariat's records of accounts and financial resources
• Oversee the Secretariat's financial funding project sample for most effective returns
• Ensure precise and prompt project setup of the Secretariat's financial and management documentation
• Evaluate the Secretariat's cost framework and role, and make suitable cost management strategic guidance
• Organize the Secretariat's financial plan organizing, status updates and management methods
• Execute annually authorized financial plan
• Oversee accounts outstanding invoices and payables
• Offer necessary assist to external auditors to guarantee efficient and on-schedule finish of the audit/examination process
• Serve as the Administrative assistant to the Finance and Financial plan Board.

Credentials

• Bsc in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a relevant field
• A member of a professional body which includes Accredited Public Accounting officer (CPA), Chartered Finance analyst (CFA) or Chartered Accounting officer (CA) is highly necessary.
• MSC in Business Management (Master of business administration) is a plus
• 10 - 15 years' work expertise, with a minimum of five (5) years in a similar executive function.
