Main Processes
The QA Officer will ensure the execution excellent quality guarantee rules, standardized processes, and operational structures to assist the efficient and productive process of the stock chain within Africa CDC. The position includes supervising and analyzing the quality of goods and solutions procured, stored, and distributed to guarantee adherence with international guidelines, rules, and Africa CDC standard procedures.
Specific Duties
- Formulate and execute QA rules, standardized processes, and guidelines to uphold product standard and legal adherence.
- Head and oversee QA teams or staff in carrying out inspections, audits, and reviews of methods, goods, and operational structures.
- Establish key effectiveness indicators (KPIs) and indicators to measure excellent output and recognize zones for advancement.
- Carry out risk evaluations and root cause evaluation to handle quality concerns and prevent recurrence.
- Offer direction and assist in the analysis and application excellent quality guidelines and rules, which includes ISO guidelines, Good Production operations Procedures (GMP), and compliance obligations.
- Evaluate and authorize quality recordkeeping, which includes Standard Operating Standardized processes (SOPs), batch records, confirmation procedures, and quality documentation
- Engage in compliance-related inspections, client audits, and quality-associated sessions, and coordinate corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
- Head ongoing development programs to improve standards operational structures, methods, and effectiveness.
- Serve as a domain specialist on QA matters, offering development and training to employees as needed.
- Supervise the QA methods from procurement to dispatch, making sure adherence with international guidelines and Africa CDC qualifications.
- Carry out consistent quality audits and evaluations of suppliers and manufacturers to guarantee compliance to quality benchmarks.
- Assess and authorize suppliers based on QA evaluation benchmarks.
- Formulate and sustain connections with suppliers to guarantee ongoing development in excellent output.
- Offer technical direction and assist to suppliers to assist them meet Africa CDC’s quality benchmarks.
- Organize and supervise the assessment and running test of inventory to guarantee they meet quality requirements.
- Oversee the solution excellent quality concerns, which includes inquiries and corrective actions.
- Manage records and records of inspections, tests, and quality assurance initiatives.

OR
MSC in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Engineering, Stock Chain Management or a relevant field requiring at least 2 years of related experience in in QA within stock chain management, ideally in community health or international development sector. Expertise in carrying out audits, risk evaluations, and adherence assessments Established history in conceptualizing and executing QA operational structures
Necessary Competencies:
- Competence in one of the AU Formal operating languages (Arabic English, French, Kiswahili, Portuguese and Spanish) and fluency in another AU language(s) is a plus.
- Solid understanding excellent quality guarantee principles, guidelines, and procedures.
- Competence in using standards oversight software and resources.

Tenure of Assignment:
The Assignment will be made on a temporary agreement for a period of one (1) year, of which the first three (3) months will be assessed as a probationary period. Thereafter, the agreement may be renewed for a similar period subject to financing accessibility, acceptable effectiveness and accepted outputs.
