Job Description

Explanation and Targets

The Financial officer delivers technical and financial managemsent processes to teammates, customers and participants of SCIDaR. S/he will work directly with the Head of financial operations to offer direction on financing information, budgetary regulate and management, legal adherence, supervising of expenditures, finance reporting, project accounting and cash management, cost evaluation and adherence for all projects across SCIDaR to guarantee efficient and productive utilization of assets in line with SCIDaR finance Management rules and standardized processes.

Audit and Adherence:

  • Evaluate financial financial record and documentation within SCIDaR and across projects to guarantee adherence with all donor rules and applicable regulations;
  • Collaborate with the internal audit team to constantly formulate and identify and pursue methods for minimizing financial risk to the firm;
  • Serves as a focal point for the management of process/documentation assessments by within and outside the organization auditors to guarantee smooth evaluation procedure and execution of strategic guidance;
  • Formulate and utilize financial monitoring and regulate mechanisms and standardized processes to guarantee that all programme expenditures are in line with SCIDaR’s financial rules, standardized processes, and compliance standards.

Financial Management:

  • Supervise and manage processes of the finance unit, set targets and targets, and design a structure for these to achieve compliance;
  • Evaluate and authorization of employees financial requests on the company’s Enterprise platform planning to verify adherence possessing applicable donor agreements and corporate rules;
  • Evaluate of the entity’s statutory remittances conclusions and remittances to guarantee compliance to empowering rules;
  • Project setup of every month bills and invoicing for all projects across SCIDaR.

Education and Expertise

  • Academic development: At least Bsc or its equivalent in Financial Accounting, Economics or a associated Community-related Sciences;
  • Specialist verifying: Additional specialist accounting certification/accreditation which includes ACCA or ICAN;
  • Expertise: At least 3-5 years progressive expertise in a similar position, with a minimum of 2 years in an audit position;
  • Advising expertise: Plan and finance Management expertise in top advising firms is a key plus.
