Position Overview:

The Outstanding bills Assist will play a vital function in the daily financial processes of the organization by making sure the precise, prompt, and conforming processing of supplier bills, vendor ledger review, and payment disbursements. This role will collaborate with procurement, processes, and finance teams to preserve honesty and reliability in the procure-to-pay (P2P) process and uphold robust internal regulates around cash outflows. The preferred candidate should be meticulous, highly structured, and competent of managing high volumes of financial record while preserving precision and compliance to organisation rules.

Primary duties

• Process and evaluate supplier bills and employees expenditure requests for precision, thoroughness, and adherence with organisation rules.
• Match bills with buy orders (POs), goods received notes (GRNs), and agreements where relevant.
• Confirm proper authorizations and account coding before processing payment
• Organize payment runs (on a weekly basis, bi-on a weekly basis, or every month) through bank transfers or cheque.
• Preserve and modify vendor records in the Enterprise platform planning system (e.g., SAP, SAGE, or QuickBooks).
• Resolve vendor statements and address vendor questions without delay.
• Help in every month accruals, ageing documentation, and audit recordkeeping.
• Track due dates for payment obligations and guarantee promptness settlement
• Work alongside procurement and processes departments to settle bill discrepancies or setbacks.
• Assist the end of month and end of year closing process by making sure precise AP entries and plans.

Credentials

• Higher national diploma / Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.
• At least 3 years of expertise in an Outstanding bills role or relevant position· 
• Expertise operating in a organized company, ideally in petroleum sector, engineering solutions, or logistics.
• Competence with financial system (SAP, SAGE, QuickBooks, or similar).
• Solid understanding of MS Workspace Suite.
