Job Description
Role summary / Objective
The position objective is to operate with the State Manager, project (SPM) to productively oversee project initiatives and assets, offer direction and stewardship to the project team and preserve cooperative links with the project’s primary stakeholders at the LGA level.
Scope of work:
The Project officer (PO), while status updates to the State Manager, project (SPM) and based at the state workspace, will line oversee the LGA Site Assistants across the state.
Key operating connections:
The PO would be line handled by the SPM and would line oversee the LGA Site Assistants in-charge of the allocated LGAs. S/he would also sustain connections with the country workspace departments, which includes Finance and Logistics. Key external connections would be with employees at the LGA and State Malaria Elimination Program (SMEP), LGA health employees and top group members and gatekeepers. S/he would head development and synchronization, through drug management and helpful oversight, to status updates of initiatives at the LGA level. S/he would preserve close information exchange with participants and powerful persons in the allocated LGAs through the accepted frameworks.
Technical (20%):
Assist Monitoring and evaluation initiatives, which includes status updates of SPAQ administrator and Assist program evaluate which includes end of cycle (EoC) assessments, end of round (EoR) assessments and EoR coverage survey.
Qualifications Crucial:
- Development in Nursing or Community health;
- Five years’ expertise of operating in the Community health sector;
- Expertise in program management at the LGA/state level;
- Outstanding project organizing, management and M&E competencies.
- Expertise coordinating financial plans;
- Expertise in using digital data collection resources in SMC marketing and other health program;
- Some practical expertise in Health Information and Disease Surveillance Operational structures, interoperability, and international guidelines; launch Worldwide Health Information System software and launch data suppliers, which includes, but not limited to, DHIS2, ODK, KoboCollect;
- Expertise operating at the LGA and group levels;
- Expertise operating on marketing style interventions (dispatch of interventions or community-related mobilization and SMC would be beneficial).
