Facilities Officer at Cynsere Solutions in Surulere, Lagos

Position Overview

The Facilities Officer will supervise the daily servicing & maintenance and smooth functioning of the center’s facilities in Surulere. The position comprises managing electrical and mechanical operational structures, directing generator servicing & maintenance, managing with power allocation governing bodies, and assisting general operations and facilities which includes plumbing, Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, guard operational structures, and vendor oversight.

Primary duties

• Supervise the upkeep of all electrical operational structures, making sure prompt fix and servicing & maintenance to prevent non-operational time.
• Operate, preserve, and diagnose issues diesel generators; track fuel usage and timetable standard procedure servicing.
• Facilitate communication with electricity allocation companies (e.g., PHCN, EKEDC) for problem solving, reconnections, and load management.
• Carry out standard procedure inspections of the building and facilities which includes plumbing, lighting, Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, guard operational structures, and general structure.
• Log and address facility-associated service issues or breakdowns in a prompt and productive manner.
• Track the use of utilities and assist energy effectiveness programs.
• Oversee service vendors, janitors, and technicians operating in-field.
• Assist the organizing and implementation of minor renovations or repairs inside the facility.
• Preserve a servicing & maintenance calendar and documentation every month on finished duty, risks, and facility needs.
• Guarantee adherence with all workplace safety and wellness rules as it concerns the facility and its tools.

Qualifications & Credentials

• Higher national diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Building Solutions, or a relevant field.
• A minimum of 2 - 5 years' practical experience in facility management or electrical servicing & maintenance.
• Solid understanding of generator operational structures, electrical system setups, and local power utility interface.
• Understanding with general servicing & maintenance (plumbing, AC, carpentry, etc.).
• Outstanding issue resolution, information exchange, and handling multiple responsibilities competencies.
• Capability to operate independently and address crises during or outside work hours.
• Accreditation in facility management or electrical safety will be an added advantage.
• Close proximity to Surulere is in-demand.
