Job Description
Position Overview
The Hygiene awareness Officer will be directly managed by the WASH Organizer Maiduguri and will be in charge of arranging, engaging in, and carrying out all hygiene awareness initiatives in the networks of execution. The Hygiene awareness Officer will serve as a intermediary between the company and the group participants in collecting information, producing documentation, and fostering linkages and synchronization in the WASH sector with associates. The officer is in charge of supporting hygiene procedures and making sure that all project initiatives are carried out and that all CATAI rules and standard procedures are followed. The Hygiene awareness Officer manages the Hygiene Supporters (Assistants) and voluntary assistants in carrying out routine hygiene promotion marketing, house-to-house and group sessions, group mobilization, and sessions with voluntary assistants and key stakeholders in the group, which are all closely aligned. The Hygiene awareness Officer will be in charge of arranging, engaging in, and carrying out all hygiene awareness initiatives under the direct oversight of the WASH Organizer Maiduguri.
Duties
- Formulate, and supervise on a weekly basis marketing to advance good hygiene based on a every month timetable.

- Supervise the routine hygiene awareness initiatives carried out by voluntary assistants.

- Produce a voluntary assistant-run child hygiene club following Children Hygiene and Sanitation Development (CHAST) and head CHAST Sessions.
- Assist the application of group-guided total sanitation (CLTS) and other participatory hygiene and sanitation methods.
- Engage in the recipient screening process and assist offer dignity and hygiene kits to recipients.

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science academic qualification or HND qualification in Community health, Biological Science or other applicable fields
- At least two years of expertise operating in community health or hygiene awareness with an NNGO/INGO/UN company
- Competence in the English language, both spoken communication and documented
- Prior expertise coordinating in unstable and complicated environments.
- Adaptive schedule and the capacity to operation well under stress.
- Exhibited integrity, good moral character, and understanding with the local environment are preferably.
