Role description

We are seeking a innovative and inspired Entry-level Creative designer to join our information exchange team. The preferred candidate will possess a enthusiasm for design, a good comprehension of graphic messaging principles, and an interest in supporting the French language courses and qualifications. They will collaborate with the Communications specialist and the Teaching and Exam departments to produce attractive and efficient graphics materials targeted at supporting our course offerings, together with the French language qualifications, and teaching events.

Obligations and Duties

• Design and produce a range of graphics materials for the advancement of French courses and qualifications (DELF, DALF, TEF, TCF):
• Digital Materials: Graphics for social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn), web banners, bulletins, data visuals, simple animated visuals.
• Print Materials: Posters, flyers, brochures, roll-up banners, internal signage.
• Ensure the uniformity of the Alliance Française de Lagos's graphics identity across all information exchange channels.
• Adjust graphics materials to different allocation channels and target target groups.
• Engage in innovative brainstorming for new information exchange marketing.
• Work alongside pedagogical and events teams to comprehend their graphic messaging needs.
• Stay informed on graphic market trends and applicable resources.
• Help with basic photography and visual content editing if necessary.
• Oversee and arrange graphic files and graphics archives.

Necessary Credentials

• Academic qualification in Fine Arts, Graphic messaging, or a relevant field.
• Competence in standard graphic creative applications (Adobe Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Expertise in motion design tools (After Outcomes) or visual content editing (Premiere Pro) will be an added advantage.
• A project sample demonstrating personal or specialist work is compulsory.
• Good comprehension of visual design rules and design thinking structure.
• Capability to operate independently and in a collaborative environment.
• Clear articulation competencies and interpersonal abilities.
• Meticulousness and thoroughness.
• Capability to oversee various projects at the same time and deliver on time.
• Competence in French is not required but would be a significant asset. Competence in English is crucial.
