Job Description
Result of Service
The Graphic Design Support is anticipated to supply graphics designs for the UN80, and offer specialist assist for booths/Tents to be used by UN inter-agencies for the exhibitions, Graphics designs for banners and other marketing assets for 16-days activism from November 25 (International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women) to December 10 (Human Rights Day), and; Oversight of the artwork of the generation of the UN Nigeria table top 2026 calendars.
Obligations and Duties
Profile The Graphic Design Support is essential to competently carry out graphic messaging projects and programs across several media by conceptualizing premium quality materials for marketing, workshops, dialogues, sessions with the idea to promote understanding and motivate action on Schedule 2030 and the SDGs in Nigeria and encourage transformation through pictures. This is part of the execution of the worldwide UN information exchange plan at national level, operating closely with the Resident Organizer and UN Country Team in Nigeria through the UN Maintainable Development Teamwork Structure.
Status updates Line:
- The Graphic Design Support will answer to the Chief of the Resident Organizer's Workspace and UNIC will play a day-today oversight position. Site/Responsibility Station Abuja Duties:
- Design themes, data visuals, Layouts and covers of documents.
- Development of figures, which includes colours, fonts, graphics and layout, and resulting materials which includes Bulletins, brochures, banners, posters, fliers and booklets.
- Formation of graphic design frameworks to be used for documentation and demonstrations.
- Project setup of printing bundles (all layout and design files) for printing of publications and other information exchange goods (brochures, yearly documentation, banners, posters, booklets, leaflets, records, calendars, bulletins, flyers, cards)
- Supply innovative and creative creative thoughts for print, web and interactive demonstrations. This will require the creative designer to offer technical initiatives for use of new media
- Produce animated visuals for illustrative purposes which includes animated visuals, demonstrations and more improved initiatives
- Preserve design frameworks (InDesign, CorelDraw, Publisher Word, PowerPoint etc)
- Offer videography and photographic assist to the RCO
- Help in establishing and be in charge of preserving photo and video library
- Any other obligations as may be requested.
Languages
English and French are the operating languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post promoted, fluency in spoken communication and documented English is essential. Expertise in another formal United Nations language is a plus.
