Role summary

The position incumbent is in charge of the business company in every facet of processes and for setting up, entrusting, coordinating and as required, modifying the business initiatives on tactical and business level and to offer response to the executive team and other departments. Lead Profit and Loss of Agri Food Laboratory (Africa QA Center -AQAC). The role is in charge of the entire technical activity of the Agri-food Laboratory. Role based in Shagamu but may require travels. The Agri-Food Laboratory Technical Manager executes the position inside the structure of the BV QA System, the Code of Ethics and the BV Group rules, standardized processes & Absolutes in addition to ISO 17025 guidelines and GLP.

KPIs Business:

• Preserve Certification (ISO 17025 & others LTOs)
• Elaborating of annually business action strategy in accord with N+1 for his/her team
• Defining business and productivity targets inside the action strategy
• Evaluate every month financial outcomes and start corrective actions
• Carry out, supervising of functional performance (realised days, status updates, service, productivity ratio, etc) to be lined up with KPI‟s
• Carry out supervising of operating expenditures
• Formulate / select and track own employees
• Oversee work carried out in the laboratory
• Establish standardized processes and quality benchmarks for laboratory initiatives
• Supervise staff development (scientists, technicians, assistants)
• Manage managerial components of staff administration with assist of Human resources Dpt
• Oversee stock management and stock of materials
• Organize servicing & maintenance initiatives for laboratory systems, instruments and machinery
• Guarantee adherence with laboratory safety guidelines
• Manage client service issues
• Technical study of projects and agreements
• Development of new methods
• strategy and oversee laboratory evaluation and running test initiatives
• Oversee Business development team to grow income

Qualifications

• Certification or Academic qualification in Logical Chemistry
• Certification or academic qualification in Management
• Must possess min. 5-10 years of laboratory and leadership background.
• Technical expertise in Agri-food ISO 17025 accredited laboratory
• Effective communication competencies (verbal and documented)
• Fluent in English, another language like French will be an added advantage
• Comprehension of Quality, health, safety, and environment - methods
• MO365 Skilled.
