Position Overview

We are looking for a initiative-driven and outcomes-driven Debt collections specialist to join our team. The preferred candidate will be in charge of commencing recovery initiatives on delinquent accounts, discussing terms repayment terms with customers, and preserving proper recovery records in accordance with organizational guidelines and governance policies.

Primary duties

• Reach out clients with overdue accounts to recover outstanding loan repayments.
• Bargain and establish organized repayment strategies with defaulting customers.
• Track and check in on accepted repayment plans to guarantee adherence.
• Problem requirement notices and collaborate with the compliance unit where necessary.
• Report to higher support tier elevated-risk accounts for further recovery action or lawful solution.
• Preserve thorough records of all engagements and recovery endeavors.
• Organize periodic documentation on recovery initiatives and project sample status.
• Verify that every recovery actions adhere with internal standardized processes and financial rules.

Credentials

Bsc or Higher national diploma in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a relevant field.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of expertise in loan recovery or debt collection
• Deep knowledge of loan management, financial rules, and recovery methods.
• Clear expression and bargaining ability.
• High level of honesty and reliability, persistence, and meticulousness.
• Capability to operate under pressure and deliver on time.
• Competence in Office productivity software resources; expertise with CRM or loan management software will be an added advantage.
