Position Overview
Status updates to the PPO, Financial funding Campaigns and Payment Settlement Operational structures, the Payment Operational structures Project officer will assist the formulation and execution of programs and action strategies to coordinate the emergence of an combined financial markets in the region.
Position and Duties
- Formulate short, medium, and long-term work programs and action strategies to coordinate the consolidation and development of financial markets in the region.
- Coordinate relationship building among financial sector participants in the region and formulate linkages to the worldwide financial market to grow financial funding.
- Coordinate interconnectivity of financial markets structure in member-states to engender free flow of capital across borders.
- Assist execution of short, medium, and long-term work programs and action strategies for regional financial funding facilitation through improvement of financial intermediation in the region.
- Coordinate the harmonization of listing qualifications on the inventory exchanges in the region.
- Work alongside associations and institutions in the regional and international financial sector to coordinate the adoption of industry standards on the inventory exchanges and financial markets in the region.
- Work alongside financial markets participants to advance cross listings and the establishment of a regional inventory exchange with diversified linkages in members states.
- Advance initiatives that will grow the use of multifaceted financial market instruments and institutions in lifting capital for business in the region.
- Work alongside participants the coverage industry to advance a regional risk risk reduction and management structure and instruments for cross border business risks management the region.
- Work alongside and arrange sessions with professionals and donors as necessary to advance the Regional financial markets.
- Execute other associated obligations as may be allocated by the PPO Financial funding Advancement and Financial Markets Development.

- Fluency in spoken communication and documented expression in one of the ECOWAS formal languages (English, French, or Portuguese); expertise in an additional language is a plus.

- Capability to recognize, arrange, and track duty productively to guarantee smooth implementation.
- Capability to support to and/or head projects using standard project coordination methods and organize payments to deliver on time.

- Capability to recognize, collect, and evaluate effectiveness indicators and take initiative-driven remedial action when needed.
