Head Production engineer at International Energy Services Limited (IESL) in Lagos

Position Objective / Goal

To offer direction during planning phase, development, optimization, and execution of process operational structures for petroleum sector generation facilities. Make sure that all engineering initiatives are conforming with compliance guidelines, project requirements, and safety standard procedures.

Key Responsibilties

• Execute, organize and oversee all engineering of processes initiatives and development of process outputs.
• Execute project man-hour estimation, evaluate financial plan and adhere to timeline throughout the life circle of the project.
• Make sure that outputs are generated to the accurate level excellent quality and in accordance with project strategies and standardized processes.
• Organize and evaluation procedure documents (datasheets, documentation/studies and calculation notes) and drawings (P&ID, PFD etc.) on projects.
• Organize and evaluate key process outputs which includes basis of design, process explanation, process design philosophy, safe chart, etc.
• Set basis/template for process calculation and simulation.
• Execute and evaluate tools sizing e.g. vessel sizing, PSV, pump sizing, etc.
• Organize and evaluation procedure simulation with software which includes HYSYS, PIPEPHASE, FLARESIM and PIPENET.
• Convey productively with the discipline team and project participants.
• Establish and preserve good operating connections within IESL, with its customers and other participants.
• Organize and engage in PHA, HAZOP and HAZID workshop.
• Executes any other provided assignment allocated by Head Engineer.

Key Outcomes Zones

• Quality/Precision of process outputs (calculations, documentation/studies, simulations and drawings) - anticipated precision/quality of work should not be less than 40%.
• On-time completion of allocated duty and outputs - anticipated turnover on outputs/assignment should not be less than 40%
• Taking Plan/ Issue resolution - Capability to proactive action and offer/request initiatives/suggestions/support when issue arise.
• Expertise Purchase – Growth mindset and take on new/more difficult duty/outputs.
• Adherence with Health, safety, and environment and quality qualifications on projects.

Credentials

• Bsc in an Engineering associated or discipline
• 12 years at least applicable professional background
• Specialist/ chartered Engineer (or equivalent).

Position Requirements:

• Comprehends all matters connected with organizing, milestone tracking/dispatch and status updates
• Gathers/conceptualizes strategies for the development and issuing of the process outputs in accordance with specification and binding qualifications in addition to safety, operability, maintainability and constructability components
• Engage organize and oversee the dispatch of process drawings, documents and documentation.
• Must be abreast of latest industry design codes and guidelines and their application.
• Must possess expertise of industry tools sizing methods e.g. vessel sizing, PSV, pump sizing, etc.
• Must possess expertise of process software which includes HYSYS, PIPEHASE, FLARESIM, FLARENET, and PIPENET.
• Capability to productively head and co-ordinate a team.
• Ensures engagement with other disciplines for all interface and productively co-ordinate engineering of processes initiatives with the project and customer.
