Position Overview

Under the general direction of Community-related Regulatory framework Manager, the incumbent is in charge of offering technical, synchronization and programmatic assist to UNICEF Nigeria’s Community-related Regulatory framework Section, with a specific concentration on the execution of the EU-financed Assisting Maintainable and Creative Community-related Protection Operational structures in Nigeria. The Community-related Regulatory framework Expert will support to supplying outcomes on combined, shock-responsive and child-sensitive community-related protection operational structures in Nigeria, in partnership with Federal and State governments, development associates, and civil society.

Critical duties

Program Management:

Support to the management of community-related regulatory framework section by making sure that IT assistance around community-related protection is well organized, tracked, and executed in a prompt fashion so as to adequately assist scale-up and dispatch. Ensure risk assessment and risk risk reduction are embedded into entire management of the assist, in close meeting with UNICEF program sections, partnering associates, and governments. Aids and supports to efficient and productive organizing, management, synchronization, M&E of the community-related protection program. Make sure that the community-related protection program boosts regulatory framework dialogue and regulatory framework reforms, organizing, management, development, analysis and assist; and that the M&E part strengthens M&E of the community-related sectors and delivers assist to sectoral and decentralized information operational structures.

At least Qualifications

An postgraduate degree in one of the items listed fields is essential: Public Regulatory framework, Community-related development and poverty reduction, Community-related Sciences, International affairs, Political Science, or another applicable technical site. At least five years of applicable specialist work expertise is essential. Profile and/or understanding with Nigerian community-related protection sector is assessed as a robust asset. Fluency in English is essential. Expertise in another formal UN language or a local language is an asset.
