Job Description

Objective of the Task

The objective of this ToR is to participate analysis staff that will carry out data collection, evaluation and analysis for EoR assessment based on LQAS approach. The advisor and the manager will educate data collectors and supervise data collection methods while other staff will carry out the actual data collection using an electronic operational base.

Scope:

This ToR is to offer description for EoR assessment that will be executed in the states where Malaria Consortium is executing MDA-AZM (Kaduna, Kebbi, Jigawa, Adamawa and Gombe). The process includes responsibility for recognition, selection and development of supervisors at development of trainers (ToT) and subsequently, data collectors in the states. It will also engage data collection, evaluation and documentation drafting.

Structured approach:

The goal of the EoR assessment is to evaluate AZM coverage and compliance of group drug distributors (CDDs) to the treatment procedure at once and not more than 5 days after each round of treatment. The findings will be evaluated and any ward (lot) scoring less than 80% will be targeted for corrective measures around underperformance, for advancement in subsequent rounds.

Profile Qualifications 

  • At least Academic qualification (Bachelor's degree / Higher national diploma) in Community-related Sciences and Health associated discipline.
  • At least 3 years’ expertise in carrying out community health analysis, especially data collection.
  • Expertise in application of advanced tools in analysis – use of phone for data collection.
  • Previous expertise doing LQAS survey is a plus.
  • Capability to speak local language
  • Understanding with and respect for the tradition and culture of the locality.
  • Understanding with terrain of the locality.
  • Capability to offer attention to description.
  • Must not be a employees of the Government at any level
  • Must not be part of MDA-AZM staff in whatever capacity (national, state, LGA, HFW, CHW, TA).
  • Must not be blacklisted during the previous initiatives.
