Principal accountant at Pajuno Development Company Limited in Lekki, Lagos

Position summary

This is a full-time in-field Principal accountant position located in Lekki. The Principal accountant will be in charge of daily financial initiatives, evaluating financial data, getting ready financial statements, preserving precise records, and making sure adherence with financial rules. The position also includes partnering with teams to assist financial planning, predicting, and financial strategic judgment. We’re seeking a Principal accountant who will not only supervise our finance reporting and adherence, but also play a pivotal position in laying a reliable framework for our outstanding invoices management, making sure money movement stability, optimized methods, and business scalability.

Tax Management:

• Head tax organizing and ensure full adherence with rules
• Oversee VAT and WHT filings and entries
• Track status reports in tax legislation and execute modifications
• Preserve precise tax recordkeeping and records.

Team lead:

• Oversee and train the Finance/Accounting team
• Organize accounting due dates cross-functional units
• Adherence & Internal Regulate
• Guarantee adherence with statutory rules and organizational guidelines
• Assist internal/external audits
• Execute and track internal regulates
• Preserve precise and current accounting records
• Stay informed on accounting guidelines and industry standards.

Credentials

• A certified accounting officer (ACA, ACCA , CPA or equivalent)
• 6+ years of accounting/finance expertise with executive guidance duties
• Demonstrated expertise arranging and coordinating outstanding invoices
• Robust critical thinking and competence in Excel and financial system
• High honesty and reliability and meticulous
• Financial Evaluation, Finance reporting, and Document Keeping competencies
• Expertise in financial planning and predicting
• Expertise in financial rules and adherence
• Outstanding logical and issue resolution abilities
• Bsc in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.
